2008 QUALICUM BEACH FAMILY DAY

Every year on the last Sunday in May the town comes together to celebrate our community. Since 1976, Family Day has been an annual event sponsored by the Town of Qualicum Beach, meant to bring the community together for a free festive day. Family Day festivities draw a crowd of over 3,000 plus smiling faces. Start the day off with the Shriner's pancake breakfast at 8:30 - 11:30a.m. The pancake breakfast is held at the Civic Centre in the parking area.

The Parade is always great fun whether you are part of it or would just like to sit back and enjoy! The parade musters at 11:00 a.m. at the Old School House. Judging takes place at 11:30 a.m. Categories are: Best Marching, Best Band, Community Spirit, Best Float, Best Youth & Best Costume. The parade moves at 12 Noon sharp, and late comers may not be placed.

After the Parade head over to the upper fields behind the Civic Centre where the entertainment runs from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Come & check out the activities.
