2011 QUALICUM BEACH FAMILY DAY

Every year on the last Sunday in May, local area residents have come together to celebrate our community at Family Day. Since 1976, Family Day has been sponsored by the Town of Qualicum Beach and organized by a group of dedicated volunteers. The smiling faces of over 3000 people at the 2010 Family Day demonstrates that our community is as strong as ever, and that residents and visitors of all ages continue to value and enjoy this free community celebration. The theme for the 2011 Qualicum Beach Family Day is "A Community That Plays Together Stays Together" and we are inviting everyone to come out and play together on Sunday, May 29th.

The 35th Annual Qualicum Beach Family Day starts with the traditional Shriner's breakfast at the Civic Centre, followed by a community parade through the streets of Qualicum at noon. Then it's on to the Civic Centre fields for an afternoon of interactive games, climbing wall, bouncy castles, food, music, dancing, pony rides and the ever popular 'Battle of the Bands' on the Youth Stage.

The Family Day Planning Committee wishes to thank The Town of Qualicum Beach for their generous support of this special event and the many volunteers, community partners and participants that have made Family Day a success for the past 35 yrs. We look forward to seeing you all for a great day of play on Sunday, May 29th 2011!
